hi manorite
you have any travel history or anything

thanks

Hi Punjabi kudi,

No travel history for my wife..... its very straight forward application I think and we provided all the proofs and documents...

Hey Guyz...

to what i have heard...they are giving priorities to STUDENT VISA over SPOUSAL VISA as of now.

Because all the Universityz and Collegez are Hiring international student left right and centre.

i work at the bank and a client of mine workz for CPC-M as admin assistant and he was telling me about that in detail.

there is no seperate department for spousal Visa nd Student visa in New delhi VO...

thats why Delhi went from 6 to 8 months for the second step.

That's understandable. International Students spend huge amount of tution fees in Canada whereas they gain nothing from a spouse.

Hello All,

I think New delhi must work like Ankara Visa office. on of the march fellow who has submitted his application on March 16, she/he got visa today.
unbelievable....

More of student visa? Means more delay. Oh no! I cant bear more delays

Sorry but I disagree. CIC clearly mentions that spouse and dependent children PR applications are the highest priority to get completed at outland processing centers.

And BTW the VISA for students gets done in a day, plus the time to do medical.. they dont have a backlog system for such applications and hence there will be no need for them to put more resources to process student visa/study permit applications as there is a going to be a large number of sept intake.

This happens every year and CIC have sufficient resources already dedicated for this.

The delay for June pp folks although not explainable but i do not think its due to study permit applicants.

Naah. no need to take extra worries.. BTW ECAS is not working.. perhaps due to extra folks applying for study permits :P lol

i hope you are right lalatata...but that was the information given to me by CPC staff member...

But looking at the over all economy as you know they are reducing Jobs and staff in most of the companies including the GOVT.

so everything is taking a hit, they make tons of money from international students and i guess most of them are dedicated towards making money. :P

September is the month all Uni & Colleges re-open. So, I can kinda see it related to what you are trying to say. Although, I agree CIC website says that they give priority to Spouse & Children sponsorship applications over anything, in this case it may not be 100% since there is a tight deadline before all Universities re-open, I wouldn't be surprised to hear if they are trying to give priority to both categories at the same time. After all, students don't wanna be late to their schools as much as we all like to be reunited with our loved ones. And, not to mention all the money schools/govt can make by letting in the International students into the country. Student's Priority vs Spouse's Priority. Alright, now we are talking! :)

Hi Guys,

My wife got PPR request on June 18 . We send her passport on July 7. It reached ND on July 8.

The status on CIC website still shows Application Received.

ND should ask passport when the whole process is done, just like other Visa offices.

I don't understand why they function so differently from other visa offices.

The spouses of the person sponsored are Permanent Resident PLUS they pay taxes plus we payed a higher fee for processing! I guess i m just giving you more reasons. but i do see what u mean too. lol

Grr, I was a student once and now I m into the other side.. either way.. see the thing is Student permit process only takes a week to complete. They dont have a backlog hence I think there is no reason for it or lets say tourist applicants ( hey its summer, more folks apply to visit in summer then winter) these applicants are done with within a week or 2 , they dont have a backlog for such ..
