happy landing and happy journey to your wife
Thank You! and now the great search starts for that rare cheap ticket during this extra expensive month before start of semester.
Prices will go down as soon as September 5 comes around... but my hands are tied... her medical expires on 31st August. Damn!

hello..
I just want to know you are 2013 applicant or 2012 applicant?
November 2012 applicant here.
@ others -
I applied for GCMS notes and figured it would take them about 2-3 weeks to access the file.
I got my MP to do an enquiry. I also sent NDVO emails reminding them that medicals are expiring at the end of August. I tried to make sure that all the above three happened during the same week.
To be honest, I don't think the above made too much of a difference, but... maybe it did? cant say for sure.
Wife got a call on monday asking if she can travel before expiry of medical. She said yes. Another call 2 hours after that asking her to come collect her passport.
Passport collection time is 3PM at NDVO office usually. We were there at 3PM. Not many people around. Only Indian staff within office... atleast they were the only that my wife could see. The concerned official was nice to deal with, and handed over visa, landing papers, all of our photos and marriage cards sent with the initial application. Total time spent within the office - about 15 min.
They did cancel her existing multiple entry TRV though. Said you cant have a PR and a TRV of the same country at the same time.
Hope you found this useful.

Rajat
