guys have a question, I am jan applicant but not received mr yet, want to do upfront medical and my fees as I am going out of Canada for few months. can any body guide me how to do it. thaks ( request notes it shows file is pending second review but job duties does not match0

Hey Guys,

My probably first ever post on any forums. lol

Anyway the point is I also applied in Jan 2014 and received their acknowledgement in mid Feb. and since than, haven't heard anything from them. This is bit worrying coz I am in Canada and I changed my status to visit visa and its coming to expire next month at the end, and this gonna be my third time I will apply to extend my status.

Any idea about that if they can reject or what and also anyone else waiting for MR.

P.S: When second time I extended my status they asked me for the medical test and I completed that and the Dr. and my lawyer said its a same medical they request you when you apply for immigration.

I'm a February applicant but I think our situations are similar. Since March 14 I've been out of work. My work permit expired and I wasn't eligible for Bridging WP. We applied for LMO but after 2 months due changes with the requirements my file closed. So, my WP application closed too. I'm not sure if they denied my WP application cuz I didn't get any response from CIC. I don't have any status right now but due to my pending PR application I'm safe here. I'm not sure if you really need to extend your visa again.

Thanks for your info. I think I should be safe as well. But my lawyer said I still need to keep extending my visa so that I have some status and also to be safe. Last time I sent them additional email acknowledging them that my file is in process and since i have been in Canada for the past 5 years studied here work n now waiting for my PR so i am also looking for further opportunities. Last time i got my extension in a week but since this is my 3rd time I am bit worried.

I've been in Canada for almost 9 years. I worked for 4 years till March 14, 2014. My company is still waiting for me. They didn't hire anybody. I'm still waiting for my PR process to be completed. Hopefully, soon i can go back to my job. It's just so disappointing that CIC doesn't make exceptions or change the details of Bridging WP. I'M out of work for almost 8 months! It's just ridiculous. Anyways, hopefully things will be better soon for all of us. It will be work for what we have been through.

Just received ppr email...finally after long a wait..journey is about to finish. Thank you. I am so relieved now. I hope everyone waiting like i was waiting get their ppr's soon.

13 month is ideal processing time of application which is close to 80% of people apply , There is no mandate of getting a MR in 13 months , MR is received within 5-6 months of application . I think you not getting MR has to do with your Eligibility determination.

Is your eligibility Passed or not ?
