New caregiver pilot program

hello guys,

I badly needed some help or advice. I was planning to apply under Caring for people with high medical needs NOC 3413. I am currently working as a PSW in a retirement home and completing the number of years to apply under this program, but unfortunately they have just abolished the old pathway yesterday June 18. Under new pathway which is Child Care and Home support worker the only NOC that can apply are NOC 4411& 4412. Is there any way I can still apply for PR? Or is there any similar situations here. Please advice

Thank you for your response. I am really confuse, can I use NOC 4412 even if my job description/category falls under NOC 3413. I’ve read that 4412(home support) are only for PSWs working in the own home of their employer. I am working in a retirement home :/ although the duties and responsibilities are just almost the same.

In this case.. I believe you can’t. I disregard the fact that you are working exclusively in a retirement home. I thought you go to “retiree’s home”. Unfortunately, as per NOC 4412, you need to care for them at home. You may, however, be directly employed by the person needing the care or by an institution (ex. Nurse next door).

However, if you are already working here in Canada under your current NOC for at least 12 months, you can apply for PR under the interim pathway.

I am working under NOC 3412 for 1 1/2 years now, I looked at interim pathway But this is just almost the same as the new 2 proposed program:/ only eligible to apply are NOC 4411 and NOC 4412 if I’m not mistaken.

Hi if you have 9 months of Canadian experience in noc 3413 than you can apply under OINP employer job offer- in demand skill stream.
