most of the August applicants have reached their 14 month period. not sure if they want to proceed with contacting them.

what are your thoughts guys :

- this is a good time to contact MPs as they are recently elected and they are willing to work on our requests.
OR
- this is not a good time to contact them, as their local permanent residents have high expectations from them and they will just ignore the requests from temporary residents.

Trust me , it is lowest priority task for new MP . they won't do in that way stupidly .

a: the world is full of complain, comparing with others, ours is minors. e.g refugees, soldiers retreat .etc.

b : they spend tons of money for election, they need find way to get them back for another election again .

c: it is time for old MP transit all the task to New MP , they won't do something to angry old MP now to make this procedure painful .


the problem here is : when someone ask for to have a petition , someone whose work permit still have 1 year left treat it as a joke .

we never work together to get something .

I am a June Applicant as well and waiting for my PPR since March. I am living in Toronto. I contacted my Local MP (case office) long back. He (Constituency Assistant) talked to CIC and told me that he will take care of it. He asked me to wait for some more time. I even checked through an MP from another area and got to know that my local MP was following up my application. As of July, an officer put a note on my file that my application will be completed within one or two months. Nothing happened even after two months. So by second week of October, i contacted my local MP again and told him the situation. He was about to get back with details in a week but unfortunately my local MP lost in the election. Now we have a new MP from Liberal party.
The new Prime Minister Mr. Justin Trudeau has announced that the new cabinet is forming on November 4th. As of now there is no case office for the new MPs. I am trying to find the case office details of my new MP from day-1. Website still shows TBD. I think we may have to wait till 4th Nov. We should better contact as a group. Also, individuals can approach their local MPs.

According to my location, postal code and the link to find local MP, my local MP is Stephen Harper. Isn't him too 'big' to contact? I can't imagine contacting former Canadian PM and I didn't dare to contact him when he was the PM ...

FYI, 5 mins walking east to my neighbuorhood their local MP is Jason Kenney. If I lived in that neighbourhood I wouldn't bother to contact that P!G.

I think it would be worth to revive the petition we started with. It got lost as CIC suddenly decided to update ECAS lines with multiple lines without any effect and also the due date got postponed during that time.

Must say that was smart move by CIC. ??? ???
