  • While reading the available immigration programs in New Brunswick I found the below highlighted paragraph under New Brunswick Express Entry Stream Also here is the link for the website NB Express Entry

    Enrolled in a PGWP-eligible program at a federally-designated post-secondary institution
    • The applicant must be physically living in New Brunswick
    • Proof of enrolment must be provided
    • The applicant has a valid Canadian Study Permit; a pdf copy must be provided
    • The applicant must have at minimum one year of previous work experience in a position that matches NOC Level 0, A, or B: NOC Code and employment letters must be provided
    • The applicant must have valid language test scores (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF Canada, or TCF) with scores equivalent to CLB 7 in all four language competencies: test scores, and a pdf copy of these test results must be provided
    • The applicant must have either a valid Canadian diploma or an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), which attests to the minimum equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma: a pdf copy of the diploma or the ECA must be provided
    What is the first step in applying?
    Send an email to Entree.Express.Entry@gnb.ca
    and include the following documents:
    • Proof of residency in New Brunswick;
    • Proof or near-completion or completion from the post-secondary institution (example: degree audit from your academic advisor or registration certificate with the date on which you are likely toreceive your diploma as well as a partial transcript); and
    • A valid Federal Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code
    You will then receive specific instructions on how to properly submit your EOI.
    My understanding that this is a straight forward pathway for PR without any pool and cutoff limit. Is that correct understanding?
    If my understanding is correct then I will be seriously considering to apply on a 1 year post graduate certificate in NBCC ( I already found a suitable one) then after 9 months I should be meeting the eligibility criteria stated above.

    More questions:

    1. What do you think of such plan?Do you recommend it?
    2. Are there possible risks that the program will be closed before I submit my EOI?
    3. What would normally be the next process steps after submitting the EOI?And, how long would it take till the whole process is completed (getting the PR)?
    4. Do you believe 1 year program + 1 year PGWP should be enough for such plan? Or I may be under risk that my PR is not concluded before the end of my PGWP year? Would I be granted any extension for my PGWP in case if the PR is not concluded before the end of the 2nd year?
    5. What is your advice about the life in NB?And jobs opportunities for Engineers?

Did you find any additional information regarding NB express entry stream? I am stuck with it, I can´t find draws or invitation rounds.
