Hello everyone, need your input, got PPR some time ago, 11 days to be precise, however my hubby just gave birth to a baby girl 7 days ago, however i am in a fix if i should inform CIC about her birth. Reason being my bank account is in a mess right. I had some business done and so right now my account balance is down. is it possible for me to get a gift deed from my parents for the purpose of POF. Wont that sound suspicious??
Or can i and my hubby just go for landing, then later inform sponsor our baby to canada after the landing. Have 4 days left to submit my passport. Please your thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks.

If your hubby gave birth, I'd be informing CBC, you could make millions from the story.... (sorry not helpful at all but I couldn't resist).

Your hubby gave birth? LOL

Definitely inform them. Any dependent not listed on the COPR cannot land with you.

Do you need to submit proof of funds with the passports? I didn't think that was a requirement?

You may be required to show funds when you come to Canada the first time (at the border officers discretion), depending on when you plan to land you have some time to sort the funds issue.

Congratulations!

You have to inform IRCC about this baby as the infant is a dependent and must be included in your application. Even if you send the passports right away based on the PPR and get your COPRs, those would still need to be amended at a later date if the baby is to be included in your PR application. I cannot think of a legitimate reason that would convince IRCC to let you and your husband to travel to Canada now and activate PR status while leaving behind your newborn child in the vague hope of sponsoring them at a later date. Might be worth a try but I don't see it happening especially if you tell them the truth about changes to family composition - right away or on landing - because whenever you tell them that, your COPR is instantly invalidated as the COPR no longer portrays an accurate picture of your family composition AND the newborn cannot make the decision of staying back temporarily while their parents decide to activate their PR (which is possible in case of 'non accompanying' spouse or 'non accompanying' dependent children but even then they are still a part of your PR application).

Here is what I think you should be doing.

1. Get the birth certificate asap. Try and get a passport as well.

2. Submit 'Additional Family Information' form to IRCC along with the birth certificate and medical records of the infant (include passport if you have it already).

3. Even if you don't have the passport right now, submit the other documents to IRCC along with updated POF for 3 people (instead of 2). Do this via CSE.

4. IRCC will then cancel this PPR, include the baby in your application and issue you a fresh PPR at which point in time you would submit everyone's passports together so that each of you can get COPR with the dependents clearly listed out in the PA's COPR.

5. There is no escaping incremental POF (for having had this baby added to your application) unless you were invited under CEC or have an LMIA supported job offer and I suspect that isn't the case here else the question wouldn't arise in the first place.

6. You can get a gift from your family/friends for the balance POF amount - not suspicious at all.

Thanks Asivad, that was very helpful. As it stands now, i would need to get a gift deed for a family of 3, roughly about $19k, from your last point, it shouldnt be a problem, just to clarify.

Yes. It would be incremental/differential POF as you would've already showcased about $15k for the 2 of you.

you do not have an option other than to declare your daughter before proceeding.

"Applicants must declare all family members when applying for a visa and must again declare all family members, whether accompanying or not, prior to obtaining permanent resident status. Permanent residents who did not declare all their family members on their application are reportable under A44(1) [see also “Sponsor who may be subject to an A44(1) report” (section 10.5 below) and “Misrepresentation” (section 5.22 below)]. In addition, all family members, whether accompanying or not, must be examined, unless the appropriate officer determines that they are not required by the Act or the former Act to examine the family member [R117(10)]. Family members who were not declared and examined are excluded from the family class and may not be sponsored at a later date as per R117(9)(d) unless R117(10) applies.

All family members, whether accompanying the principal applicant or not, are required to be examined unless an officer decides otherwise. Normally, an inadmissible family member, whether
accompanying or not, would render the principal applicant inadmissible."
