Hello Everyone,

I am in a situation and just wanted to know that how things will work if anyone of you have experience.

I have received an ITA (invitation to Apply) for FSWP with 457 points of CRS. Now they have given me 60 days (Until 13th March 2016) to complete the documentation and I knew that already.

My wife is pregnant and we are suppose to have the new family member on 14th February 2016. Do I need to update my application first with one added family member, or Is there any special form to send the updates to Canada about this change etc...

Do I have to take the new born for Medical exam too? What medical exams are done on new born and to the children under three. Xrays really??

Thanks

You can add your new baby via a Case specific enquiry (CSE) after submission of your application.

Your new baby needs medicals. It is just a pretty quick physical exam. No X-rays required for babies.

Thanks a bunch for this info. My wife was worried if they will draw any blood from the new born, (you know mothers these days)..

I am still confused that, since I have not submitted the APR yet and I have 59 days left, can I NOT add the new born in my application before submitting (due delivery date in 28 Days) the APR.

Is there a way to do this, or as you suggested, I shall go with CSE only.

Thanks

I was in your exact same situation. I do not know if you can add a new family member post ITA. I did not try that because i knew that it was going to be very difficult to get the passport for my new baby in time. You can give it a try if you think you can get his passport on time.

i think you should rush into thing, if you can and if you want than you should wait a little while, for the timing reject this ITA you will surely receive another ITA later on, according to me you should give some rest to both mother and new born atleast 3 months, its just honest opinion afterall its your decision what you want to do.

I see your point. I was not considering the passport thingy at all. Before getting passport I will have to apply for new born ID. Once received I am eligible to apply for the passport. So I dont think I will be able to do that. Since you were in the situation and you tackled it I will be contacting you again for further help (if you don't mind).. On the other hand I will keep everyone here updated regarding the development in this situation.

Thanks and your replies were very helpful..

I am in complete agreement about what you have said regarding mama and baby rest. I have also considered that 457 is a good number to get ITA again. But end of Feb I will be older by one more year, and will loose 5 marks. That idea of getting ITA with 452 is bit scary. Since there is a set procedure as explained by Henryahmed called Case Specific Enquiry, so I will better use that.

So I will apply for APR and give enough time to Mama and baby. Later I will go with CSE.

Thanks for your opinion and I greatly value your kindest thoughts.
