new bank account for proof of funds

Hi seniors,
Plz guide me is it ok if i open a new dollar account for showing proof of funds? The certificate given by bank will show the date of account opening which might suspect visa officer that i hv open new account only for fsw immigration. This was told to me by a consultant that dpnt open new dollar account instead convert ur dollars into rupees and deposit ut in ur existing rupee account... is he right? Plz guide me i dnt want to convert dollars into rupees

means the account in any currency is ok just you need to provide conversion and show amount.

do not open new account old account is preferable
