My husband and I have the following as proof of funds:
- Account balance
Will a copy of my account statement from the bank(stamped) be sufficient? or I need to get a letter from the bank stating the amount in canadian dollar?
Is there a format of the letter?
- Fixed deposits in my (primary applicant) and my husband's name
will just the fixed deposit statement from bank when I made the deposit do or do I need to get a letter from the bank stating the value of the deposit in Canadian dollars? As these deposit gain some interest amount as well- will the interest amount as on that date count in the total value? Is there letter format? Shoudl my husband's fixed deposit have nominee as me and only then its considered?

At the time of initial application, you can include a stamped and signed statement of bank statements + photocopies of the Fixed desposits can be included as well. Interests are minuscule considering the conversion and cost of living.

However when you land at the Port of Entry, the officer will ask you to show proof of Funds in CAD. This can be in Cash, Travellers cheque; DD and cannot in inr or bank statements other than top Canadian banks.
