Hello,

I have added my child in the application. Submitted All of our passports including mine, my spouse's and my child's for reissuing Visa. I have received the PR Cards and right now I am in Canada

This is What I have done:
I have raised a CSE via IRCC Web form to Singapore Visa Office (my country's Visa Processing Office) on October 12, 2018 requesting instruction and guidance to add the new born child in the application. But I have not gotten a reply from them.

While waiting for the reply, I have collected the baby’s birth certificate, passport, paid the fee of $150CAD to include a dependent child, completed the upfront medical for the child, filled up the IMM0008 DEP form, IMM5406e form (both my spouse & I), updated Proof of Means of Financial Support.

Once I have every documents ready I have sent an email to "Singapore-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca" on November 11, 2018 and at the same time I have also raised a CSE via IRCC Web form to Singapore Visa describing my situation and attaching all the documents. The Documents are listed below:

1. Official Receipt of $150 CAD payment to include a dependent child
2. New Child - Birth Certificate
3. New Child – Passport
4. New Child's - Proof of Medical Exam
5. New Child's – IMM0008 DEP
6. My – IMM5406e
7. My Spouse's – IMM5406e
8. Updated Proof of Means of Financial Support
9. New Child's – Digital Photo

After around 3 weeks they included my child's name in the application. However, Only Name was included, none of the documents I attached with the mail or Web form were showing like it shows in our case.

On December 19, 2018 they requested all 3 passports of ours. After submitting them to VFS on December 20, 2018 on January 15, 2019 We got back our passport. Our initial Visa Deadline was April 29, 2019. After reissuing visa the deadline didn't change. All 3 of our Visa Deadline was April 29, 2019. Late February we went to Canada for soft landing. On April 5, 2019 we received our PR cards at hand.

Hopefully my experience will cover all of your questions.

Do not worry about the process or delay. Wish you all the best. You can post here for further query.

I got my Visa and COPR last week.
Me and my wife are expecting our 2nd baby in first week of Nov 2018.
I raised an enquiry and intimated the same online to Canadian High Commission, New Delhi.
i got a reply asking me to submit my passport and COPR as i was planning to travel to canada in Jan 2019 which falls after the birth of my child.
Also they have asked me to submit following:
- New IMM0008 form.
- Additional family information forms.
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of passport of your child

Now, do i have to submit passport and COPR immediately and rest of the docs after the childs birth or how?
Will the whole process start once again for all family members including mine?
Will my visa validity will increase? asking this because i have 3 months notice period to server in my present organisation and if the above process take more than months time from birth of child, and after i receive my new visa and then i resign the by the time my notice period gets over my visa validity will expire.

Please share details if someone has faced this situation before or have knowledge of the same.

Hi there,
Did you inform embassy about baby due date after getting VISA and COPR?

Did Embassy gave you a time to submit docs for baby?

How about POF?

Hi,

I am in a similar situation. My baby was born after we got the COPR.
Currently, they have mailed me saying the baby has been added. But nothing else except that.
Should I wait for them to ask to me to return my passport/Visa or do it myself.

Please help on this.

Hello all,

I have a similar issue

I have applied for express entry online with my spouse as dependent. Received ITA on February 7, 2018. Submitted my Application on April 30, 2018. Received Visa with Passport on September 5, 2018.

My visa was processed in Singapore Visa Office.

On September 30, 2018, we had a baby. On October 11, 2018 raised a CSE through IRCC Webform regarding guidance & instruction to include the baby in the application to Singapore Visa Office.

In the mean time, I have collected the Birth Certificate and applied for my baby's passport and is in process. Will receive it by tomorrow. I have also paid the advance payment of CAD150.00

However, it has been 27 days since I raised the CSE and I still did not get any response from the Visa Office. What to do now?

I have gone through several threads in the forum and some say i have taken the right approach. Then there are other approaches.

I also have a confusion regarding imm0008 form. Which imm0008 form should filled.
Is it IMM0008 - Generic Application Form for Canada - November 2018? or
Is it IMM0008 Dep - Additional Dependents/Declaration - November 2018?

Please advice.
Hi,

Hope you are through with this process now. I'm in a similar situation. Have received my COPR and baby was born after that. Although I have received a mail from them saying the baby has been added. No other communication.

Should I submit my passport and Visa directly to VFS or wait for a communication from CIC asking for it ?

Please help.
Thanks
Akash

Hello everyone,

Hope all is going well for all! Here is my latest update:

On 29NOV2019, I received "ready for visa" email requesting for passports (finally after six months waiting! :)). In the email, it clearly said as Step 1, if I intend to give birth then I should inform IRCC. Step 2 is to send the passports. This email also states I should respond within 30 days otherwise my case will be closed.

So I contacted "parisimmigration@international.gc.ca" as instructed in the email (Paris has the closest IRCC office for me) and also raised a web form on IRCC website in the meantime to inform them the baby is due end of JAN in 2020.

On 13DEC2019, I received reply from IRCC in my account saying "We have received your recent enquiry. Please upload your child’s birth certificate to your MyCIC account when it is available. We will provide further instructions at that time."

Now my question is: should I still send the passports for visa stamp now (within 30 days from 29NOV2019 as the "ready for visa" email says, but at this time the baby is not born yet) or I dont need to do anything now and just wait until baby is born and then inform IRCC again? Does anyone have similar experience?

Thanks in advance!

IRCC will either extend the medical or request a new one.

Hello all!

@XGJS @TanTaniTaj I received COPR on 13 September 2019 for me as well as my wife and child. I informed IRCC that our second child was expected to take birth in January 2020 and wanted my yet to be born child added in application.

They said my request had been approved and asked me to inform them about birth of my second child.

Now I have informed them about my second child's birth. In reply they have asked me and my two dependents, whose visa already affixed on passports, for re-medical within 30 days but nothing about my second child!

I am bit confused about the process. Does IRCC wants to give me time for attaining my second child's birth certificate and passport and redo our medicals meanwhile?

Or is there any confusion on their end in giving instructions?

My visa expiry date is 13 Feb 2020 and my second child took birth on 14 January 2020.

Shall I ask them for clarification in instructions or quietly follow the steps?

You need to do the medicals in order for your COPRs to be extended.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

So according to you, me with my two dependents would have to get our visa extended first by getting medicals done afresh and then my third dependent's addition will be processed!

Neither is dependent on the other. Do you have your child's documents?

Thank you for the detailed steps on how to proceed in situations like these. I am in the same boat as well, our baby was born in November 2019 after the COPR issunace in October 2019, our COPR and medical expire on March 20 2020. We have raised a CSE on IRCC asking what to do in this scenario but didn't hear back yet, we were planning to submit all the required documents like you suggested via another CSE and see if they get to it. My concern is we have only a month for the COPR to expire and we do not want to show up for landing without adding our daughter as dependent, but however looking at your timeline it may take them time to get back to us and if they even do ask for submitting all our passports in three weeks, there is no way we can go before the original expiry date, so what will be our situation in terms of getting a valid COPR with additional dependents added and go for landing. Any help and input is appreciated.
