I am the principal applicant(PNP Category) residing in Canada. We got our passport back on July 8, and my wife on the same day gave birth
to our baby outside Canada. Please I need advice on what to expect. I have informed the CIC 2 days after delivery via email and we have suspend doing our landing
until we hear from CIC. Please let me know if you have experienced such, how you went about it and how long it took to get the PR visa for your baby.

Thanks.

Hi Matt83,

Looks like you haven't informed CIC of your wife's pregnancy. Am I correct? Because, CIC will ask you in your PPR email to inform them immediately if there is any change in your family composition.

My wife was also pregnant by the time we got our PPR. But we informed CIC without sending our passports. We added my new born son right after the delivery and finished his medicals then CIC sent us PPR again.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Sarayu.

I informed them after the baby is born. But I included with the passport that my wife was pregnant but I need the visa
for her to arrive Canada before delivery and they send the passport with visa. Did you do medicals and fill up background history
and family composition form. How long did it take for you?

Thanks

Hi Matt,

What did you include along with passport?

Can you please tell me more about your case? I mean when did you get your PPR actually? How is it possible for your wife to arrive in Canada just before the delivery? I mean it's not possible to fly after 6-7 months of pregnancy.

Yes, CIC asked to take medicals for the baby and also to my wife. Usually ladies have to take medicals again if they give birth to a baby. And, we we filled in all the required forms.

We got first PPR on Oct 7, 2014 and baby was born on Nov 01, 2014. We got our second PPR on Feb 24, 2014.

Please let me know if you need more info.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Thanks. I think you been able to help me with good info. But you only pay your child application fee? Please what category did
you apply for PR?
