New Application

CIC has introduced new application since January of 2017. They don't require the police certificate and medical right away and they have also reduced forms to be submitted. What i was doing initially that i was using previous application for spousal sponsorship and when the time came for me to submit the application, the new applicaiton came out. However, there was just few forms i had to modify. I was wondering if anyone else as well in the same boat and if you are still using the old application forms as most of them are exactly the same as the application except 2.

I've sent our application using the new package last Feb.

I honestly don't think they are accepting the old application package anymore.

If you’re a new applicant
Use the new application package to apply to sponsor your spouse, partner or child, whether they are in Canada or outside Canada. See what’s new with the application package.

That's in accordance with their website. You can check it out. Best wishes

You will need to use the most currently dated ones. If you aren't sure check the date on the bottom of the ones you filled out and compare to the new application. Some of the forms are completely different. They will return your application if you used an outdated form.

Make sure you use the most updated form or your application will be returned. If I were you, I won't risk and would re-fill the new forms again.

If the IMM # is the same, and the date is the same, then it's ok. Otherwise, use the new form. You can't use any outdated forms whatsoever.

Thank you folks. I found the IMM no on the old and the new forms exactly the same, thats why i started this thread. In the forms i didn't, i re-did that. I will check it again. Thanks for all the feedback.

If you submitted the old application before the end of January 31st you're good but looks like you haven't sent it yet. So you have to used the new application package.
