will the cost be less if i opt for a college than choosing a university ?
yes but sometimes in colleges various degrees are not available. But if your interested area is available at college them its good. You will have less study load in college also.

Since you are going for bachelors I think you should apply to both universities and colleges and most importantly I ll suggest you to apply to programs which has co-op element in it. After finishing bachelors and gaining work experience if you wanna improve your career prospects then you should go for masters and try in college. Overall apply to both universities and colleges and choose accordingly

Ask me anything about uk I ll tell u.

as for affordable uni/college its
UNB,lakehead and Memorial univ but this are ranked way below others

and all univ in sasketchwan are average in fees and are quite good as well.

colleges almost all are affordable but I think Seneca is quite good and its co-op are good

Hi,

It depends on your country of citizenship. Since, you are from India, applying to a 4 year Bachelor's degree in CS, you will be applying under UNIVERSITY CATEGORY. Unless you apply for a 4 years Bachelors or 2 years Diploma in any of the colleges/ 3 universities participating under SPP... then, you should apply under SPP.
Here's the list of participating educational institutes under SPP:
www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/spp-ppe.aspx?lang=eng

To get into a good Bachelor's program in CS, in any of the Canadian public university.. expect to get admission on a competitive basis, where the admission criteria is solely based on your 12th marks (more specifically PCM) and a min. IETLS requirement (usually 6.5 or max 7, in case of top grade universities). Usually atleast 70-80% in PCM (and overall 60%) is the cut off to get admission into a Bachelor's in Engineering/CS program depending upon different universities.

Now, considering you will be applying under UNIVERSITY category, Regarding funding... you will need to show:

PREFERRED OPTION for proof of funds: Evidence of purchase of a special
Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a participating Canadian financial
institution, in the amount of $10,000 CAD to cover living expenses for your first
year in Canada and evidence of payment for your tuition. See information on the
following page for information on how to obtain a GIC.
(OR)
As an alternate option, you can fulfill the financial requirement by submitting a copy of
the receipt for your tuition fee) AND a copy of an Educational Loan from an Indian
Chartered Bank equivalent to $10 000 CAD.
See information on the following page for
the list of acceptable banks.

AND
Copy of receipts for payment provided by the University - Preferably 1st year tution fees.

To see the other requirements, see the official UNIVERSITY category checklist:
http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/pdf/Delhi_study_permit_eng.pdf

CHC is not concerned with your 2nd year tuition fees+ living expenses... only pay 1st year tuition fees + show 10,000$ GIC or bank loan. That's it. Although, you may choose to show more funding. Upto you.

Hope it helps.
