Hello, I just want to ask about the status of an ETA for a family member. Old Passport with approved ETA expired last April 2024. But before it expires, he got a new passport last February 2024 and on the same month he applied for new ETA for his new passport. And since then, there was no update on his application for new eta for his new passport except for the AOR on the same day he applied. However, when he checks status online. This is what he sees;

A final decision has been reached - NOT STARTED
ETA number - J123456789
Expiry date - 01/01/2029
What do you think is the real status? Can he travel with the new passport? Do you think he got the new ETA even if he did not received an email that decision hasbeen made? There is already ETA number and the expiry date is date the new passport expires. Thank you very much.
