Never Ending processing time.

Hello Guys,
I have applied Visitor visa on 28th Jan 2014.
Today is 3rd March 2014, but my application status is still on open (Received Application).
I am not sure why its taking so much time to process my visa application.
I received email from CIC twice stating that my application is updated, but I don't see any progress in my application.

Anyone with same case like mine??

I have a feeling this might relate to the strike last summer. There are major backlogs in the system and I think they are still playing catch-up. I'm not in the same situation as you, so I can't speak from experience, but that is just my hunch.

I also submitted an application for a visitors visa in January and still have had no information.
