The most points for education he will get is 22. As he has his bachelors, 14 years and then a 2 year MBA = 16 years of education. For 25 points he would have required 17 years of education. They don't keep piling up the years of education.

For MBA or MCS the eligibility criteria is 14 years of education. So after the completion of MBA or MCS total years of education is 16 = 22 points

For MS the eligibility criteria are 16 years of education, so after the completion of MS total years of education is 18=25 points.

We have talk to immigration lawyer and he also has the same opinion that visa officer made a mistake because 25 points have been granted to many of his clients for MS degree.

It’s not the matter of pilling up …it’s the matter of total years of education and for 17 or more years they must give 25 points.

but the fact of the matter is that MCS is a master degree if it were of 3 years or more or Mphil/phd then your could have been awarded 25 points,quote from op6....

Note: Subsection 78(3) of the IRPR provides that points are to be awarded on the basis of the single
educational credential that results in the highest number of points. For example, an applicant with a
master‘s degree that was completed after 16 years of education, and who spends an additional year
in school after obtaining it would be awarded 22 points. That the applicant spent an additional year in
school does not turn a 16 year master‘s degree into a 17 year master‘s degree and would not result in
being awarded 25 points.


I m also double Master degree holder but I shall be awarded only 22 points,

how did you contact them? did your email them, or you called them? I am dealing with almost the same issue re my brothers application. I am in Canada and would like to take it to any court/ or to any level because my brother was not awarded my 5 points. I am his representative, submitted copies of my PR card, landing papers, my passport, FORM B etc to show that I am his brother....but he was not awarded 5 points and was refused......

the documents you have mentioned is enough to proove that you are the brother, but what about the documents which prooves that you reside in Canada? have you submit any document which shows that you live in Canada like utility bills ,tax papers etc.

I did send my 3 months bank statement and credit card statements......
