We are a family of 3 with no plans expanding. We would like to buy a condo or townhomes. What are some nice and safe areas that are within 1hr driving distance of downtown? What would be the cost of a condo or townhomes in areas with good schools. Our most important factor is good schools and other learning opportunities for our child. We plan to live in the house we buy this for a long time to give a stable life for our child. Please pour your suggestions

You cannot afford a house in the North York area. Just looked at listings in realtor.ca under $500k, and found only a few 2 bedroom condo listings.

I know Scarborough. I went there for dim sum and grocery shopping. Some condo buildings are more run down than others.

My best bet is 68 or 88 Grangeway Ave Scarborough

Assume you are looking in the GTA which you need to specify. What is your budget. Real estate costs tend to increase with the better school catchment areas. In general there aren't huge differences between many schools.
