I am a foreign worker here in Canada. I was hired as a Graduate Nurse (as it says in my work permit, visa and LMO). I took the RN exam last year but didn't pass, so my temporary license as Grad Nurse was canceled, then I worked as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) for the meantime while waiting for the next test. Then I took it again this year and I just passed it (RN exam) and already have my license. Now, my employer wants me to work as BOTH at the same time. I have my schedule as CCA and will work as RN if someone called in sick. It feels like there is something wrong going on, since it says in my contract, I am hired as a nurse and guaranteed 60hrs. bi-weekly. Could somebody help me with this matter?
