Needing a couple answers

I am a Canadian citizen and my soon to be wife is an American citizen.
We plan on getting married next month (June) and I am to find answers to these 2 questions:

1) find out how long it takes to get medical paper work after I file for residency
2) find out if you have to pay a fee to be a sponsor

I assume you plan to sponsor your wife for permanent residency status in Canada? If so...

1) Your wife will complete the medical BEFORE you submit the sponsorship application. You include proof that you have completed the medical when you file the sponsorship application.
2) Total fees for the sponsorship application are $1040 (assuming it is just your wife you are sponsoring and she has no children who are dependents).
