Hello,

Has anyone from India did WES Evaluation recently?

I'm about to start with it. In the required documents to be sent, they mentioned a legible copy of degree certificate along with transcripts.
Does that mean a XEROX Copy of certificate and Transcript's envelope?

Yes, but transcripts to be sent by the university themselves (signed and stamped in a sealed envelope)

Hi , is it necessary that university themselves should send the documents? I have sealed and signed copy of transcript with me...Can I send them??

No, but it is necessary that university signs(attests) and seals them in an envelope. Either party can send. This has been clarified on WES website.

Won't hurt to have one, just to avoid any complications or problems later on.

Hi

There is some confusion on this. Transcripts are ideally needed only for Admission to higher courses.

I applied for and got WES equivalence report by sending attested degree and marksheets for me and my wife. (In University envelopes, sealed and stamped by the registrar).

its either transcripts or attested copies by registrar of the university.. In my case I used the 1st method for my degree for my wife's used the second..Also please check if there is any specific requirement for the institute mentioned in the website.. In my wife's case they had specifically mentioned the institute and had allowed the documents to be submitted from the institute as well (generally this is to be done from university)

@Asivad I think by transcripts we meant duplicate copy of the mark sheets from university

Yes. And as you mentioned, WES has country-specific (sometimes region-specific) documentation requirements. Transcripts essentially mean authorized copies of the original mark sheets from your institution authenticated by the examination authority of that institution. They are usually placed in a sealed cover which is further stamped on the outside by the issuing institution.
