Hi all
Hope you all must be doing great

My friend has secured a visa for September 2012 under SPP(PG course) but she wants to drop the course after landing and want to move to a different college and province in January 2013 where she has already taken admission. Her course in Jan 2013 is at PG level and that college is also under SPP

Her major concerns are
-Is there any problem in doing that
-whether changing college n course will affect her visa status in Canada.
-Will there will be any problem in near future regarding PR.

If anyone has got any info on that please share your views or people in canada who have done anything like that please comment

Thanks

RSP

I hope it won't be any problem. I am going to do the same.

I asked the delegate of the college where I will take transfer and he said that if you don't change then its good as the college from where you will drop out will notify CIC that you are no longer student at their college which can effect your work permit.

But I have seen many students changing the college. So, will have to shoot the arrow in the dark. Hope to get on target. ;D :D

I also have the same query just the difference is I don't want to drop a semester ,
Can any expert tell me , Whether I can transfer from PG level course to UG level course from toronto to alberta , What are the formalitise that I must do, before shifting.
I know its need to apply for the change in status at vergville, Alberta but when before giving withdraw application or after that because, if they don't give permission from CHC and on the other side if i withdraw from current college then, May I get stuck.

one more thing If my course is starting at 2 sept and I reached there before 15 days , Is it enough time to do all thing of transfering or it needs more time.

all advices are appreciated.

Hiiii. Am Rahul.
am b.tech in ece with 67% and work exp.for 2 years in relevant field.
ielts score is 7 bands with no bands less than 6.

Got offer from humber in wireless telecommunications pg program.
my program at humber will start from jan.and ends in august. Will it be regarded as a 1 year program
and if i wish to take work permit,it will be of 1 year starting from September to September(means just after program ends) or January to january (means after full 1 year)

I have three plans:-
a) Complete 2 PG programs, one after the other like First i will do PG diploma in Wireless Telecommunication at Humber (8 months) and then PG diploma in Project Mgt.at any college. Will this two 8 months program be considered as 2 years program and will it increase my work permit to 3 years
b) Second is come to canada and change my college from Humber to Fleming in same PG diploma program. But Humber is offering 1 year PG Program in wireless telecommunication and Fleming is offering 2 year PG program in wireless networking. Will i get admission in this college and will i get refund from humber college And do i need to inform CIC in this case when both program levels are same
c) Last option is completing PG program of wireless telecommunication at humber and then shifting to manitoba or sasketwin if i dnt get any job in toronto

I have my relatives in Toronto near humber,so i planned humber college.
Pls advice as per visa point of view.
Pls guide the best solution.

I will be waiting for your reply.
