Need your help understand change of course for an international student

Hello Everyone,

I am an international student currently studying a 2 year PG diploma in Ontario and would like to know if I can make my course for 1 year and change province to Alberta for example and continue with another course there for another year and still be able to apply for PGWP in that context I would also like to know if it'll affect my chances for better opportunities or for PR.

Kindly drop in your advice or experiences which can better help me understand.

As I said it might be a good start for me if I have a chance for PR if I change province. Heard a lot of people mention Ontario is a tough place for one to meet the score also since this is a long short. I would also be able to find better job opportunities once I graduate in another province.

Are you completing your program or starting a new program? You can apply for a PGWP. Not sure how Alberta is any easier.

It won't matter where you live in Canada. It's going to be tough everywhere, we have enough students and unemployed Canadians/PR's anyway.

Don't really understand your situation. You've done first semester and you are already on PGWP?
So you won't get PGWP again after your "new program"... How will you get enough in Canada work experience to apply for PR?

So you are studying and on PWP? Taking only one year program? There is no easy province as you would need an employer who is willing to support your nomination. Learn French.

Oh I guess I'm wrong about that because I was under the notion those who came to Canada for post graduate studies were under PGWP after their 1 or 2 year course they get stayback for 2-3 years.

PGWP means post graduate work permit, which you apply for after graduating. You are on a study permit. So if you are studying then you have not applied for a PGWP. Finish your 2 year program and then move to a province that you think you will get a skilled job and employer who will nominated you. Or learn French.

What are you currently studying and what is your job and education history. What you study is equally important in terms of whether you’ll get a job after graduation and qualify for PR. Would do research not just count on what you have heard from others.

What are you trying to do - immigrate or study? Now you want to learn French. Have you done any research on Canada’s immigration programs? If not, do so.
