Hi All, I need your guidance, please

I applied for PGWP on August 13th with my study permit on implied status as I applied for extension. On August 18th my extension for study permit got approved.

Can I work as I got my study permit or do I need to withdraw and reapply for PGWP as I am now having a valid study permit and start working immediately?

I need urgent help on this

Hi, My study permit expired while I am still in my college so I applied for an extension of study permit. Unfortunately, it took 5 and a half months to get the result due to COVID by this time I completed my studies.
After waiting for 4 months after my studies for my study permit extension, I applied for a Post-graduation work permit with restoration on August 13th, but I got my study permit approved on August 18th and the validity of my visa is till September 30th.
I spoke to IRCC 3 times 1 person said that I should not work as I was not having an active study permit when I applied for PGWP, whereas the other 2 people said that I can start working from August 18th.
My question is am I eligible to work full time as I got my study permit and also applied for a Post-graduation work permit?

Are you planning to study, with that study permit? If you are studying full time, work you do on your PGWP will likely not count as Canadian work experience.

"Unfortunately, it took 5 and a half months to get the result due to COVID by this time I completed my studies."
But you applied for it prior to the expiry of your prior study permit so you were on implied status when you applied for the PGWP. I am not sure why you applied for restoration, while you were still on implied status.
Anyway, from what I understand of your situation, that you applied for a study permit extension before your study permit expired, that you were therefore on implied status until August 18th, and so you were able to begin work the day you submitted your PGWP work permit on August 13. Again, I don't know why you applied for restoration.

Thank you for your reply. I applied for restoration as my immigration lawyer and IRCC people told me to apply for restoration to be on the safer side and they also said that IRCC will refund if they feel it unnecessary.

I am not going to study and want to work full time with my PGWP. Thank you once again for your clarification, I will start working from September 1st.
