Need urgent help regarding travelling on valid but last year student visa

Guys,
I have a valid multiple entry student visa issued by CIC in India and stamped on my passport - valid until November 30, 2014. It was issued on the basis of my securing an admission to the MBA program at Laurentian University starting in September 2012

Due to an family emergency - my father fell ill, I was not able to start my program in September 2012; subsequently Laurentian University has re-admitted me to their next intake starting September 2013. My program and my student number are all the same as last year. I am not sure if I can travel with the last year issued valid visa. I have written many emails to CIC Delhi for advise, they do not reply to my email. I have called CIC as well as VFS in Monbai - they say wait for CIC to respond. Time is running short for me now.
Has anyone been in the same situation?

You can go for studying on study visa. You will be asked why your program was deferred give them valid reason and proof if you have any.

My worry is that at the port of entry in Canada I should not be deported. I would like to know if anybody has been on the same boat as mine i.e. travelled on a valid VISA but issued for last year.
If anybody on the forum has similar experience please advise me. Thanks for all your help.

As far I have seen people got in the next intake without problem but gap was four months. I think it will be heard to find such people who went after one year. If you can search this forum using the search bar you might get what you want.
