Need some urgent assistance.Hope you can help me out here
I used to work in Canada and returned to India 3 weeks back, My work permit as well as worker visa is valid till May 2019.But my work permit is a closed one restricted by my employer. While I was in Canada I got admitted to one of the universities for MBA which starts next Jan.For that purpose I had applied for Study Permit from Canada which got approved and mailed to my Canadian Address and which should be reaching me by this weekend.
My Question is can I reenter Canada with my old Visa (Having category as worker) and study permit given the fact that I will not be working for the employer post December? Or Is it possible to have a visa stamped to enter Canada since I already have a study permit?

You can travel to Canada on your current TRV.

I don't know if that's gonna help, but this is some of my experience.

I was a student and applied for a work permit (at that time it was required). I left the country and my work permit came to my Canadian address while I was gone. My sister sent me a scan of it and when I arrived back to the airport, I showed them the copy and told them that I have it at home. The officer checked in the computer and said it's all good and let me in.

While you re entered did your visa have a category as "Student"?

Since I have a closed work permit and I will be resigning from that organization before coming to Canada, Can It cause some problems at the port of entry since my category of the visa is worker?

No.

Yes, but I was still enrolled at college. I had both study permit and off campus work permit, so technically i was a student.

Im just saying that, they let me in with a copy of the permit, I did not have an actual one with me at the border.
