Hello

I have a huge problem, my husband has deserted me, I discovered he left to work in canada in feb 10 to work as a hgv driver, I only found out a week later, after he left our home, and texted me, we was trying to work threw all of this, but he became very arguementative and kept playing mind games with me in phone calls and texts etc, he got his LMO offer threw, and when landed was given a tempory work permit, I also found a immigration questionarrie in my home, that had been filled in by him, with my name and our childrens names on it also, since he left, he has given me no money, for 10 weeks now, he refuses give me money, will not answer any of my calls or texts, has told be he wanst no contact at all now, I am almost penniless now.

What I want to know is, can he be allowed a work permit in canada, when he knowly left behind huge debts on a house, ie morgage arrears, also his UK bank account is id debt of nearly £2,000, plus he cashed checks before he left in one of those money centres, knwoing his account was in arears, also the fact hes left his wife (me) and children with no money, never sent any money since to me, I was reading on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada webiste, and under the tempory work permit part,it states

"You must also do the following:
Satisfy a visa officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your work permit.
Show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family while you are in Canada"

Surley he has neglected that part in highlited area above, where do I satnd with all this, I want him to loose his job and stautus out there so he has to come back to the UK and sort his mess hes left me out, please any advice. Thank you

I feel very sorry for you and for your children. Your husband has deserted you and you want to cancel his immigration so that he must return home. He also has huge debt, house mortgage etc in your country.
Irrespective of your troublesome relation if he earns good then it may be beneficial for your children at least in future. He may send money after some months for his children at least.
However if he is deported with no money then financial situation may worse.
The improvement in relation may be achieved with changed behavior and with the help of close relatives.

Your try to deport him from Canada will most likely worse the financial position and is likely to cause more stress on your relations.

I understand what your trying to say, but the thing is he will not make any contact, and refuses to discuss anything, I cannot afford to sit and wait for him to decide, if he does, to sort this all out, he may move around out there to another job offer,I need clear advice on his temp work permit he has, considering what he has done, he told lies on it, from the start, if he comes back to uk, least then I can have a better chance of gaining some form of maintence, why should he be allowed to stay in canada based lies and decite.

So Can anyone else please can shed some more light on his work permit status with these facts I have metioned here, please I do need help, I have tried ringing canda high commision, I cannt get to speak with a real person.

Thank you

1. There is nothing that you can do about his work permit, he qualified, it was issued to him.
2. What you should be doing is contacting the courts in your home country and getting a support order issued. They are enforceable in Canada.
