Hi Bryanna,Can you tell me about one thing. As a Bangladeshi Citizen, can I fly to Toronto from Kathmandu as some local travel agency told that as a Bangladeshi Citizen I can not fly to Toronto from Kathmandu without taking any NOC from Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal. Already I compacted with Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal & they told that they are not issuing any NOC for any Bangladeshi. So, can you kindly let me know about accurate information to proceed accordingly.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with NOCs for Bangladeshi citizens. Are you sure you require an NOC to fly from Kathmandu because you already have a TRV for Canada?

As Kathmandu is not on any direct flight path to Europe/North American destinations, ticket prices could be much higher. You may want to consider traveling to India (New Delhi) and then taking a flight to Toronto. Maybe this way you can avoid NOCs (if you need one)

Cheers

Hi Bryanna,I am not sure as some local travel agent told it.Even I tried to know from the Nepali embassy in Belgium, they also unable to mention accurate information.Currently I am confused about it. Anyway, in stead of obtaining Indian Tourist Visa,if I want to use Indian transit Visa (because it is cheaper & processing time also faster),can I avoid such type of hassle? Please give your advise as if I had to travel from Dhaka,I need to bear extra USD 2,000.00 which I want to save.

Hi,

I'm unable to understand the objective of this NOC..... As a Bangladeshi, you have a visa on arrival to visit Nepal + a TRV to visit Canada then why would you need an NOC? To leave Nepal? It does not make sense.

Unless there is information pertaining to NOCs, I think this could possibly be a money making tactic of some local travel agents.

If the layover time is less than 24 hours + no re-checking of your luggage + you don't have to leave the Transit Area.... then you will not need a transit visa for India

Cheers

Hi Bryanna,

I would need some advise regarding my husband visa. This is my situation,

Applied for PR(under CEC) in Feb 2014. Got married in Jan 2015 and added my spouse to my PR application. Now, waiting for passport request email from CIC.
Im currently in Canada on bridging open work permit which is due to expire on Mar 2016. My husband is in India. Because PR is taking long time, I want to bring my husband here soon through any kind of visa. What is the best option? Can I ask him to apply for visitor visa from india? and then when he comes here, can i apply for my work permit extension and include my spouse open work permit application? Is this a good idea? Any other suggestions? pls advice.....

Thanks
