Need Transit Visa if have connecting filght from US

I am planning to travel to Montreal next month from Delhi, do i need transit visa if i have a connecting flight from US ?

I checked the route :

Del->London>NewYork>Montreal

and how do i get transit Visa ? Please advise

u will need US transit visa or anyother US visa to travel through US

There is more route

Del->London>Montreal , i guess for London it is not required if my stay is under 24 hours

Please correct me if i am wrong

For London u need not have a transit visa and is same for mostly in all of Europe.. but to travel through USA, u need to have a transit visa in advance. There can be problems if u land at any USA airport without Transit visa even if your halt or layover time is minimum just for a plane change...
so please check everything in advance or ask the airline office in India or US Embassy.. u can apply from within India for a transit visa.

take del london montreal.....US visa is not easy i guess ..u have to get an appointment etc

yes me too i didn't took a flight via the USA... I have booked Egypt airways on 23 April.. Bombay to Toronto...
