Need to submit FBI PCC - Can someone let me know the process?

Hi,

I'm staying in India. My wife has stayed in US for a total of six months (Not in a row).
CIC has recently updated their guidelines and now asking to submit PCC from other countries if you have stayed in other country for a total of 6 months or more.
This is applicable to all applications submitted on or after Jan 1, 2016.

I need to send FBI PCC via CSE.
Would you please let me know the process to apply for FBI PCC?

Anyone in same boat? i.e Stayed in another country for more than 6 months in total and submitted app this year?

Download fbi summary check form and credit card form (else certified check) from fbi website (search fbi summary check). Get your finger print done (go to professional finger print agency and get 2-3 finger print card). Send these 3 documents to fbi and wait for 4 months.

Process for FBI PCC :

1. You need to get the finger printing done from approved center (you can google it for the one in your area)
2. They will take fingerprint (of 10 fingers)in ink on proper finger printing form and fill some details and give it to you.
3. Download the form from FBI website and fill your details.

4. You need to fill a form for payment also (either credit card or some other way of payment approx 18US$)
5. Send the filled form finger print and payment details to FBI.

Total processing time is 13 weeks and they will send you the report which you need to send to CIC....

whatever you are sending to FBI plus the courier/post reciept + LOE should be sufficient ....but do browse thru the forum on same topic you will get so many members who did the same and they can share their exp about it .... i waited for FBI PCC before accepting ITA so cant say with 100% confidence
