Need to have married certificate??

Hello,

Me, My boyfriend and our kid are going to refugee to canada under safe third country agreement. The thing is we are not married yet ( we are in commonlaw relationship now). Just doubting that do we need to get married in order to refugee to canada as family?? Or it does not matter since we have a kid???
What is the safest way?
Can my boyfriend refugee with me to canada even not legally married??

As long as you have been living together for 12 consecutive months then you are common law partners and do not need to get married.

You need proof that you have been living together for 12 months.
