Need to be in/near Gananoque

So I'm not entirely sure when this is going to be but I'm hoping someone is familiar with the area so that I can do some research in the mean time. My wife and I are currently waiting on my medical approval. But does anyone know if there's any good places to look in or near Gananoque? I currently live/work in Upstate New York about 30 minutes from the border. But once I land I'll still have to maintain this job I have now until I can get my work permit in Canada, which as I'm told, requires a 3 month waiting period from the time I land.

Anyone have any ideas? Or is Kingston my only option?

Gananoque is small so not sure how much rental housing they have and what they have available, I would google and contact a local real eastate agent about rental availibilities. Kingston is larger so you can find housing much more easily.
