Need to apply for Visa for January 2012 Intake.

AoA!
There have been numerous posts on this forum and i'm really pleased to the efforts peers are making to help others with respect to numerous issues related to Visa Issuance.

I have submitted my application for MSc - Oil & Gas Engineering from Memorial University in the January 2012 intake and I am now waiting for the acceptance letter from the university which I am hoping to get in a couple of weeks time at max. I will accordingly apply for the Visa (which I realllyyyyyy hope Im not late for ) . I have an acceptance e-mailfrom a Professor from the university and i'll be given a funding of 20,000 CAD per year (provided I get the admission).

Can anyone help me with respect to the Visa documents needed in this regard? Specially 1. Bank Statement (If I still need to show funds) 2. Police Character Certificate (I live in DHA-2 Islamabad)

I'll be grateful for the help since I am a working professional in an Oil & Gas Company and have to be on my jobsite for half of the month. I am going back to work by mid september insha ALLAH.

hi,
no bank statement required if u get 20,000 funding from professor,ur admission is guaranteed now after supervisor consent..u will have to present police character certificate from those areas in which u lived more than 6 month after the age of 18..City police officer will give u form.you will fill it and return it to CPO then they will issue you certificate.it takes 4 days.....

I am so worried. I am trying to get in contact with the professors at my intended university but their emails come back and they never pick up the phones. HOW does a person get a supervisor to consider us?

I have been moving to different cities due to my Father's profession. I am living in DHA-2 Islamabad since more than 3 years now. Do I just need a "single" certficate for my application (Ofcourse after signatures from the Police Station overlooking this area as mentioned in the Character Form)?
I hope getting this Police Character Certificate is not as bad as it seems. The thoughts of this is somehow "haunting" me. Is the process easy? You dont really have to listen to stupid statements or unfortunate behavior from the aurhotities right?

A good way of doing this is by finding someone (A university mate/ batch mate/ member of Alumini) who is from your Country and studies or has studied in that university. This can be done by a number of means like alumini yahoo/ msn groups or Facebook even. If you're lucky, you'll find someone already working with that professor. He can really guide you as to how to get in touch with the professors.

I was lucky enough as my friend who is already studying in that university told me about the Professor and the possibility of funding. Im just hoping to manage to submit my visa application intime now and to get it successfully as well. Insha ALLAH.

brother i applied in May but did not get visa yet.I deffered my admission now.I am sending u list of documents required for visa..

# The application form(application for study permit made outside canada) must be completely and accurately filled out, including the Supplementary Information Form PDF * (38 KB) (also referred to as the Family Composition form).
# Correct fee payment – Green receipt must be submitted.
# Letter of acceptance from the educational institute in Canada (original and one copy).
# Proof of sufficient funds for your studies and stay in Canada.
# Police Certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
# All previous educational documents (only originals are accepted).
# Proof of employment for yourself or your parents.
# If you will be attending an educational institute in the province of Quebec, you must provide a CAQ (certificate d'acceptation du Quebec) from the Government of Quebec (see Quebec Immigration)
# Original valid passport, preferably for the total length of intended studies.
# All previous passports (originals).
# 2 recent passport-sized photographs. The name and date of birth must be written on the reverse of the photograph.
# Copies of Valid Passport (pages bearing name and picture).
# Copy of National Identity Card for each applicant.

When I was studying in my undergraduate degree, I was living in Rawalpindi in a rented house from 2004 - 2008. Later on we shifted to DHA-2 Islamabad, in our own constructed house and I am living here since 2008. Will I have to submit PCCs from both Rawalpindi Police and Islamabad Police? ..

One more thing, the temporary address on my NIC is that of Rawalpindi where I lived from 2004 - 2008. The permanent address is that of Islamabad where I am currently living since 2008. I dont have enough time now to submit my NIC to NADRA for a change in the address. What do I have to do now? ..

I have 3 years of professional experience in an Oil & Gas Company, and the program i've been accepeted into is also "MEng - Oil & Engineering" which is relevant to my undergraduate degree (Mechanical Engineering) and Job.

Can anyone guide me with documents that I should attach in order to show Family Ties? Im attaching the following documents:
1. My Pay Slip
2. My Father's Employment Proof
3. Family Registration Certificate from NADRA

I have a 20,000 CAD per year scholarship. I guess I dont need to add a strong bank statement and PROPERTY DOCUMENTS?
