i want to sponsor my wife who is in the philippines now to come to canada.. she has worked and studied in london before in a student visa but has overstayed there.. she was never deported,she just chose to go back home.. is there a big chance that she will be refused a canadian immigrant visa?

She most provide Police character certificate from England if she live there more than six month, and if she did not provide it then it will be difficult to explain, why not, but again CIC always looking for truth they will be stistfied if you guys tell the reason that she overstyed in London and give strong evidence that your relationship is genuie and you ll be fine

It shouldn't be a big deal, depending on the circumstances. How long did she overstay?
