Hello,
My wife recently moved to Canada (she landed 18 months ago) and she has a PR card. We now also have a newborn (born in Canada with a Canadian birth certificate) and we want to travel back to her country (Bosnia) to visit this summer. I am a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport.
I am not entirely clear on all the requirements, as I've read it she should not need any additional documentation as long as she has her PR card with her to travel outside of Canada. When we fly back to Canada, will just need to show her PR card to be able to enter by air?
For our newborn who will be shy of 1 year old when we do this trip, does he need a passport or is the birth certificate enough? Will my wife need any additional documentation in addition to the PR card before she leaves so she does not have trouble re-entering Canada?
We plan to travel outside of Canada for a duration of 3 weeks.
We just want to make sure we've taken everything into consideration so our trip is as smooth as possible.
Thanks for your help.
