hi all! my question is about applying for an extension for my mother to stay in canada another six months.i've read other thread about how to go on this matter but where i need help is how to prove she can support herself while in canada.when she got into canada she only had cash on her, so how can she show cash as proof she can support herself? she came in with an open fare ticket so she can prove she is going back.also can i send some kind of letter stating i will take care of any expenses that may arise? thank you por your input. oscar

When she applied for her TRV, she must have shown proof of financial status. She can attach a copy of that (usually is valid for a year). You can also do a notarized affidavit of undertaking for her stating you'll be responsible for her room and board, medicals and fare back home if the need arises. Attach a copy of your status in Canada
