need information on submitting passport

Dear All,
i came to know that we have to submit our passport for security clearance.
it is compulsory for all.
as i am Indian national and now working in South Korea.
if i put my file from India, i will have to submit my passport to India???
i am confused.......please let me know........

You will only submit your passport when CIC ask you to do so. You dont have to submit it with your other docs in the 2nd stage.

You will be asked to submit passport at the end of the entire process after your medical test.

It takes about 1 month to get Visa after submitting passport.

Passport is required to stamp Visa.

There is no need to go to Embassy for Entire Family.

You need to send all the passport (your, spouse and all family member) by couriers only.
Send passport on request only.

It takes 1 month to get Visa after passport submission.
You will get passport back by courier.

fyi, u cannot send passports by courier/post to india..and i insist u not to try these things...as one applicant tried to send from australia to india by courier and got caught and his passport was cancelled...
when chc nd ask u to submit passports u must visit india for a month to submit and collect ur passports.
