Need Information - application through Nairobi.

Dear Friends,

We have applied for immigration under skilled category(Federal) from Nairobi in December 2006. We got our file no in February 2007. The average waiting period is 26 months for applications through Nairobi. We are nearing 24 months now and still there is no response from the authorities.

People who have applied from nairobi during the same period can you please advise the status of your applications.

Seniors can also comment please.

applied through nairobi aor may 2007. No communication so far the timeline has changed from 24 months to 36 months. Last I heard they were processing for 2005 i am yet to hear from any 2006. Where did you get the info about 26months?

Website www.cic.gc.ca shows the time for processing the applications. It shows that 30% of the applications filed from nairobi are finalised within 26 months. Also the letter with file no. shows that a response will come within 24 months. What does your letter which has the file no say about the response period.

More over my advocate also said the same thing that files of 2006 have started being finalised and asked me to take the IELTS test.

Any particular place where the processing time is shown as 36 months.

Mine says 36months 1 can see yours is in the first quota of 2007 mine falls in the second quota may 2007.Do you have arranged employment? When i check my online status it says that they started processing my file aug 2007. BTW i applied through wwics, i know of someone who is 2006 they only received a notice that the embassy had a large backlog and that they have started processing files at a faster rate. They have not received any comm about updatation of documents. I came accross a site trackitt.com check nairobi office(few people have registered). Plse update me on any developments coz it seems our files might be finalized the same period.

Applied in Nairobi in March 2006 with AOR April 2006. Since then .... only a letter in 2009 asking if I was still interested. Have no idea what is happening with applications filed under the the 'old system'. If we are not under consideration any more, then they need to let us know and refund our fees.
