Entire document is divided in sections (medical, security, criminality, eligibility, misrepresentation etc.) and every section has it's own status (started, not started, passed etc.) and dates (dates started, update dates and due dates). You can also see correspondence between VO and you (if any) in terms of e-mails, mail etc. For example, dates when they asked additional documents and when did they received those documents from you. Fees you paid or not. If interview is needed or waived it will be there. Even your request for that GCMS notes will be there
For me yes, they are helpful and everything is very easy to understand.
