Hi All,

I'm a software engineer having experience 5 yrs. I work in C/C++/ Pro*C on Unix/Linux domain. Presently I'm working in Chicago, USA. I started my carrier in India then I came here in my employer's client site. I'm here for more than 2.6 years in L1B visa. Now if I want to get a job in Canada, then what should I do? Like USA, can I get any consultancy company, who can apply my visa and arrange job for me? What is the rule to work over there? Please help me out. If anybody know any consultancy company please give me those contacts.

Thanks in advance. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Palak

Apply for a Canadian work permit, though they have just recently scaled down a couple of job titles that may or may not affect you under the skilled worker program list. Check out the Canadian hrdc website.

You can find a tentitive employer through the job sites. If you get an offer letter, that's good to apply for a work permit. An interview process might require you to visit canada, so be prepared for it.
