you should probably notify CIC that she's pregnant.
If you are a Canadian born, your son/daughter will have the right to Canadian Citizenship too.
I am not an expert on that, but your child will be Canadian as long as you were born in Canada.
Hope someone else can help you better.

Getting pregnant or giving birth will have to impact on processing times. You must notify CIC before she lands that your wife gave birth (assuming she does give birth before she lands). If you are a Canadian citizen that was born in Canada or via naturalization, then your child will be Canadian also and no need to add your child for sponsorship as a dependent.

Note that 17 months for moscow is the average time but strong applications can be processed much sooner. There is one person on the forums who got hers done in about 9 months.

The good news is, she did her medicals before she got pregnant, so no problem about having to wait for PR until she gives birth!

Processing times are worst case scenarios, so unless you think your application falls in the 20% worst applications, you should expect her to get PR in much less that time! :)

The consensus on this forum is that being pregnant or having a baby does not affect processing times at all. But you should notify them anyway.

Off topic slightly, but when did you send your application, and when were you approved as sponsor? I'm waiting for my Russian wife to be given her PR status close to a year now. Her PR application was sent to Moscow originally, but was forwarded to Warsaw in August, and as far as I know Warsaw is still where Russian applications are being processed.

Has something chaged that some of us aren't being told?

You should notify CIC and try getting TRV meanwhile (better apply TRV 1st and then notify CIC, they might get feeling that wife wont get back and stay with you due to baby)if she has strong ties to home country
