Salam Everyone...
I applied for permanent residence in 2004...
In 2012 they asked me to submit some documents and then in September 2012 they asked me for IELTS test...
I submitted my IELTS...
Till February it was showing that application is "In Process" after few days instead of "In Process" (Just a blank space appeared) nothing was written there..
Today I tried to check my application status but it showed me nothing... Following message appeared...










"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Absence of a Status on ECAS indicates that your Application is probably being "worked upon" and there could be some updates coming in some time. It happened with me also (and possibly with others as well!). Keep tracking regularly and if you wish to, use the Case Specific Inquiry Link and pen your queries. Reply may come in after some time (say 2 - 3 months).

"Dear Sir/ Madam,

This is in response to your recent query.

The Jobs, Growth and Long-term Prosperity Act became law on June 29, 2012. Under this legislation, Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications made before February 27, 2008 were terminated by operation of law if a decision based on FSW program selection criteria had not been made by an immigration officer before March 29, 2012.

Upon review of your application, it appears that a selection decision was not made before March 29, 2012, and that your application has been terminated by operation of law. For information on Fee Returns for Federal Skilled Worker applicants affected by the backlog elimination measure"

Does this mean my application has been rejected?

Something is not right. If they asked for more documents in September, that means they started processing your file. I am also assuming that to terminate cases before Feb 2008, came early in the year (not sure though).

But if you got this reply, it seems that they terminated your application as well.

Wait a few days and check again your status. Send a case specific inquiry as well.

Your application has been terminated as part of the pre-Feb 2008 cases. You will be receiving a refund of the processing fees.

Apperas that your case is rejected. You would need to apply afresh.
