Need Help with WES Transcript Issue India

Hey folks,

I applied for eval ECA WES eval for both my bachelors (North Gujarat Uni) and masters (foreign) though WES. WES accepted all the documents apart from my 'STATEMENT OF MARKS' from North Gujarat University. At first when I went to uni to apply for the transcript, the helpful lady there seemed to know what WES requires to receive and immediately provided me instructions to receive one.

Anyway, once I received the sealed transcript in an envelope, I couriered it to WES along with copies of my marksheets and degree certificate. All in one package, in which I placed the sealed transcripts I received from my uni.

However, they did not accept it.
Reason: The document received was not attested by the institution responsible for conducting the examinations (e.g. university, constituent or autonomous college).

Instructions: Please resubmit the academic document according to the document requirements stated under University Education for India.

Can anyone please guide me how to proceed from here?
Now my status is again 'waiting for document(s)'.

I know if I go back to uni, they will provide me with the same transcript (I have a second copy exactly the same) and WES might reject it again.

Has anyone gone through a similar issue?

My intention is to apply for the Express Entry through CIC. So is it okay if I just get my masters evaluated through WES?

If I need to get both my bachelors and masters, how do I convenience WES that this is the only transcript that my uni will give me?

Was the transcript in a sealed and stamped enveloppe? You shouldn't be able to open it or see the transcripts and the stamp should be on the seal

Exactly like you said. It was in a sealed envelope and chops on the seal. It should not matter if I sent that envelope without opening to WES.
4 pages for 4 years of bachelors. 4 chops on each page. 1 college chop. 1 university chop. 1 college principal chop and 1 registrar from uni. I dont know if that is the issue.

It is just unnerving. Since, the lady at the uni seemed to be confident that it was the correct transcript for WES.

If you check wes website there is a form for request of issue of transcripts, you can submit it with your application, hope it might work. Res

since you haven't mentioned details specifically, I am going to assume you have done Bachelors from a college affiliated to the university & not directly from the university. In this case , you need to submit only the final year marksheets (1st & 4th for 4 yr bachelors) attested by the univ & the other years have to be signed/sealed by the college . if you had sent all marksheets attested by the univ, wes will reject it. the reasoning is that bachelors exams are held by college & univ should not be the one attesting them... hope this helps..all the best

that is very interesting. I did not think about that. You were right in assuming that my college and uni are different. And the transcripts I sent were printed at my college first and then I got the sign of principal and a chop from college. After that I went to Uni and got it chopped by uni and signed by uni registrar.
Apparently, folks at the uni said it is a standard process. They do not print and process transcripts themselves. I have no power to control the process.
however, I just contacted them today and they are willing to look into this issue and figure out a solution.
I will update you on what happens. I will also bring your point when I go there.
In the meantime, do write me if you have any update.

I submitted the form of request of transcript to WES already in that sealed package.
Not sure if there was any issue with that as I have yet to hear from WES about what is the real issue.

Did they give you transcript in sealed cover in person? I followed procedures 2 years ago, but they did not give me transcript in person. They sent it in a sealed cover to my home address. I can't use that as it has my home address and also in very bad condition when reached my home (cover torn on many sides).
For WES - we need it in sealed cover, stamped and without any address or with WES address. right?

That's exactly how you receive it. And then you send the sealed envelop to WES with WES address on top of it along with your reference number.

Hey hi, can you please explain how WES approved your transcripts? Mine got rejected twice with a same reason saying it's 'college issued and university attested'. While i had sent college issued transcripts earlier, i did send 'university issued university attested' transcripts the 2nd time. Still it got rejected with the same reason. I don't know what to do further. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, WES rejected my transcript with same message as yours. I did bachelor degree from south gujarat university . My collage was SVMIT Bharuch. Please mention what did you do to fix this. Thanks for your help in advance.

Can you please help by giving in detail how to post the transcripts? What all documents should be there in the envelop? how should the envelop look like etc? may sound silly but .... few say that there should be an application/ letter from the college along with the marksheets... the others just the marksheets signed and stamped... things are not that clear on WES website... and you get confused reading the application getting rejected for silly reasons... PLEASE HELP

Hi,

"Just follow the uni procedure" means need to consult directly to just university for transcript no need of college transcript?
Sorry if it look silly to you, but I do not have much idea about this and I want to complete the WES as fast as possible.
Looking forward for your revert.
