Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello All, :-*

This coming March 23 I will have 1 year NOB B working (Admin Assistant) experience to apply for EE under CEC. However I just got offered another opportunity within the same organization (but different location) with a different job title, but still NOC B (Admin Assistant/ Admin Supervisor). The new position is expected to start early March which means I won't have enough (1 year) experience to apply unless I work at the new job until March 23 and then apply for EE.

I am torn if I should accept the offer because I don't know if switching to another position when I don't have 1 year experience at my current job would make me ineligible for CEC (or have negative impact?).

Can anybody give me any advice on this? I want to take the better offer because it's a semi-promotion, and I will still be doing some of some of the Admin Assistant stuff, but it's just that i also get to do some Admin supervising stuff.

Thanks in advance for helping me out!!!

Congratulations! And you can accept the promotion (assuming you have an open work permit). CIC allows you to combine work experience at different positions or jobs to meet the 1 year requirement. They even issued a revision to the ministerial instructions to specifically clarify that this is permitted:

There's just a a little more paperwork - you will have to recognize these as 2 different positions, and obtain letters for each position.
