Need help with parents Visa

I hope everyone is doing well and safe.

I am work permit holder in Canada and my father is in India and he has no travel history but he have two properties under my mom name.

I want to apply parents visa for my dad. My father is a small business owner of footwear. My father does not have a business registration and Current account, but my father do fill the ITR every year. I am confused that what should I put in business registration. Following are my questions.

1. Should I consider my dad as self-employed and get an letter from Charted Accountant stating the income and occupation ?
2. If I consider Him as self-employed. Is this still considered as business ?
3. Should I put occupation as Business owner or self-employed in IMM5257e?

Hi,

I am not an expert but I am also filing my parents visa and based on that here is my suggestion on your queries:

1. Yes, your dad is self employed. A letter from CA can work. Other option is registration of their business on UDYAM. It is for micro mini business registration.

2. yes it is considered as a business.

3. you can put it as business and explain his business in cover letter/ letter of explanation.
