Hi all

15 days from my 6-month timeframe, and 46 days after requesting them, I finally received my GCMS notes.

One worrying thing is that my country of birth has been changed from Scotland to England (my country of birth is Scotland). This update to my file was made on the day that I gave biometric details. From memory, I didn't complete any forms on that day, and I certainly would not have put my country of birth as England (although I had to go to England to give biometrics) so I can only assume that the person processing my biometrics made a mistake in processing.

Everything else looks ok to me - eligibility passed, criminality passed, medical passed, POF met. Would anyone recommend raising a CSE to highlight the issue? Or should I just wait given that most things seem to be passed?

Also, would anyone be willing to look at my notes and give me their experienced thoughts?

Thanks

I do not mean any offense . But aren't Scotland and England the same country (They both belong to the United Kingdom)?
My birth place was updated too in the GCMS notes but it was a different story. (It changed from the municipality name to the state name.)
I guess they just choose the closest one in their system based on your original input. You may not need to worry.

Thanks. And no offence conveyed. But England and Scotland are two completely different countries. Often when having to declare a country, United Kingdom is the only option. But when I lodged my EE application, I had to chose Scotland as United Kingdom wasn't an option. So IRCC required that I specified Scotland. This has been incorrectly been changed to England - a country which I have no connection to.

I'm just wondering whether I should raise a CSE to state that my country of birth is now incorrect. Or whether this would likely cause an issue where one doesn't exist. I would hate for this to be an issue. Primarily because I now (because of my age) have 436 CRS which means that I don't really have a second chance.

Thanks

Thanks for the explanation. I'd say maybe raising a CSE is a safe option? The worse outcome for raising a CSE is extra processing time.

Bairn7, I received my notes almost after 2 months, a few days back. The notes show all but security passed; security hasn't even started! All those were passed in Feb, 2019. Since then nothing actually happened, it seems. Would you mind sharing the status of security in your notes? I wonder what kept my security check stuck. I heard many got PPRs in just a few months this year.

Much thanks.
