Hi everyone,

I was accepted to PhD studies in Western Univ. The fee for a Study Permit is 150 CAD. since I'm going to move with my husband, who needs an Open Work Permit, and my 5 year old son. I get confusing replies about the total fee and I want to do this ASAP. As far as I know, Work Permit for a spouse costs 155 CAD and since it's OPW it's extra 100 CAD. I don't know about the kid - in some documents I saw that we need to pay extra fee for dependants and in others it's not mentioned. Maybe someone knows how to calculate this?

Also - is there any specific format of bank statement for proof of funding?
Thanks

Congratulations on your admission. Pls, when did you apply, and how long did it take to hear their decision?

Applied in November, got an answer in mid-February, which is really early. Most programs send their decisions during March...

Oh! I see... you offer must have come with some funding. and all you need to do is checking CIC page, u will know how much you need to have in your account. I also applied to Western Masters sometimes in January but still awaiting decision.

Hi, there's definitely funding, and I know how much more I have to add :)
The question is about the actual fee for the application for a study permit+open work permit for my spouse+ 1 child. I have to prepare a bank cheque to attach to the application and the information about the fees is confusing...
