need help with 0213 eligibility

hello! i've got question with my 0213 eligibility
my total experience is 5+ years, i've statred as a system administrator and now i'm an information security specialist. the current title of my occupation is "senior infosec specialist" (may 2010), but during previous three years i was "information security administrator". i report to the head of infosec. my duties smoothly fall into "2171 Information Systems Analysts and Consultants" category, BUT i do have some management responsibilities:
1. supervising one security administrator (until he was laid off) - the titles of our designations were the same but functionally i was his manager (it can be proved by references).
2. bugdeting - along with the head of infosec, determining the financial annual needs for the whole company concerning information security controls.
3. assembling and managing teams of IT personnel to develop and implement IT security systems and controls, leading the projects of infosec systems implementation.
4. directing, controlling and evaluating the information security operations throuhgout the remote branches and affiliate companies of the holding company.
5. working as a deputy head of infosec - during the period of his absence.

is there any chance of getting 0213? i'm going to decribe my experience in schedule 3 like 50% of 0213 and 50% of 2171 - kinda parttime. considering my 3+ years experience in this role i'm going to have 1,5+ years of 0213.

the main thing is that i'm not cheating. it's just as i've described. but it sounds soo unbelievable that i'm humbling to fill that form out)

I am also on the same boat.....I think we can try under NOC 0213,
There wont be any issues......main thing is the duties you do in your day today activity.

In my opinion it will be tough for you convince IO. Generally tittle is not impottant but your title clubed with some duties of security admin and some duties of Manager will make it tough for you

What you need is a reference letter from company which has your Title, duration, salary and all job duties to convince the IO. And if he is not convinced of you role under 0213 the application may be rejected

Hi every one it is my first post on this forum, I am planning to file the FSW case, need help of you guys on the 0213 experience. There is three month gap of unpaid leave in my last job of MIS officer which I started right after coming back from abroad(Ireland) after finishing my Masters degree in E-business Management and that unpaid leave starts right after the first two months of starting the job, the reason was to go abroad(Ireland) and to apply for my Masters degree and collect the transcripts as well.

Now how can I fill that gap, excluding these three months makes the work experience span of around 13 months.

Atleast 10 + years of experience is required for that . So i advice you to not apply under unless you are a system admistrator i think system administartors apply under it.

ankit_20, reference is not a problem, it will be written to prove everything stated above. is there any difference between who will sign the reference? i mean will it be more convincing if the reference will be signed not only by superviser, but ceo?

pkakula, i take you got some misunderstanding, there's no such condition - you only have to show your experience not older than 10 years. meanwhile your whole experience may be 4 or 5 or 6 years...

another question: are there any exapmles of filled shedule 3 and references that suceeded in getting visa?

You reference letter should be signed by HR manager or supervior

I do not think it will matter if CEO will sign it.

•Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
•Meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
•Assemble and manage teams of information systems personnel to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
•Control the budget and expenditures of the department, company or project
•Recruit and supervise computer analysts, engineers, programmers, technicians and other personnel and oversee their professional development and training.

Can u explain or elaborate all these responsibilities in form of Software Development. So that I will elaborate more and write these responsibilities on Reference letter from my current employer.

I am not from development background, but if you are performing these duties, all you need to do is rephrase these duties and map them to your work environment.

I am directly reporting to my Managing Director as per my job contract and he signed my reference letter for me. I think I have nothing to do as this is my company's rule, Ankit, wat do ya think mate?

Yes, it does not matter who sign your company letter as far as person is authorized by Organization, he can be your supervisor, head of deptt, head of the company or HR manager or HR head

anyways, Im applying for FSW with NOC 0213. Im now waiting for passport request.

I got my reference from the head of HR, fortunately, my position labeled me as 'manager'

I work in a software development company, but I don't do programming (at least not by job description) - I do the rest... Quality assurance, research/design and Customer Support. I'm the head of those departments, having total of 20+ staff (at one time before they got laid off). I'm directly reporting to CTO and CEO. The NOC 0213 applies to you too, I suggest you skip (or minimize) the exposure that you are a "software developer" or an "administrator" but rather be focus on the specific job description of being a manager of your organization.

You're still being truthful, but just keeping a profile that would best fit 0213 and stay away (or minimize) the relation (of job description) with other NOC codes relating to software development.
