If you got AOR , Apply BOWP.
If you haven't wait for it and apply so that you can be in country if that is your intention.

OK , So that is what initially I was making him understand , You being in country wont help you to process your application .
Why wasting money at all to be in country if that is the concern , Land in the country when you become PR.
 
Let's give him a break. He was advised by a lawyer that getting a SP will enable him to stay in the country longer than simply getting a Visitor's Visa.
He then realized this is more costly so he'd rather convert to a Visitor's and risk not being extended after x months. I can't fault him for changing his mind.

And Mr.Sharma: I think what you were saying is that since you're not sure what will happen to your PR application, being inside Canada is easier in a way (while studying), since it's harder to get a WP/SP/Visitor's while outside. Is this correct?

But to answer your question Mr Sharma: unless you violate the conditions of your stay (whether WP/SP/Visitor's), it won't affect your PR application. It doesn't matter if you're outside of Canada.

I'll try to list some options...


(1) Contact the CIC and see if there is a way for you to transfer to a BOWP from your Student Visa. If this is possible, it will probably only be possible once you have received an AOR.

(2) Contact the CIC and see if you can cancel your student visa and switch to a Temporary Residency Visa. Pretty sure you can work on a student visa, but obviously not a TRV. As your main concern is money, think this through.

(3) Go home. Flights are expensive, but if staying here is costing you a lot, then go back to your home country for a while and return once you've got your PR.

Can you tell us more on how long you worked? Which NOC?

If you said, it cost you more to pay 1 year tuition fees than what you have earned during your WP, there could be concerns about the duration/salary/NOC of your experience. Can you tell us more about yourself?
