I have few questions regarding applying PR for me and my family

1. Currently I am working in Work Permit from Jan 2014 and I need to go back to India by Nov 2014. But I will have 1600 hours of full time work. Is 1 year of stay is mandatory?

2. How much is minimum bank balance i should have to apply for permanent residency including my family.

Kindly help

1. Yes - having one year of work experience is mandatory. Without one year of full time work experience you don't qualify to apply (even if you have enough hours).

You'll need to work in Canada another few months full time if you want to apply for PR through CEC.

HI,
Thanks a lot for your inputs. If I apply under Federal skills, and provide these work hours whether it will support my application.

Hello,
I finished my college on May 25,2013 and started working in skilled category from May 27,2013. I was working on bridging work permit until I get post graduate/open work permit. I got open work permit on August 21, 2013. I have worked in this company till November 30,2013.

I started new job in skilled category (same as previous) from Dec 16,2013. I am still currently working with this employer.
Below are my questions

1) Can I apply with two different employers ? ( I think I can but just confirming )
2) Work done during bridging time (time between school finish & getting open work permit) count in 12 months CEC work experience ?
3) If I start to count my work experience time from August 21 to Nov 30 for first job = 3 months / For second & current job Dec 16 to Oct (I will apply next month )= 10 months / So I will have 13 months of experience If I don't count bridging period. Should I apply now ? or wait for 1 more month because I took vacation of 3 weeks this year outside country. Please verify this time.

Scylla already answered your question very well.

There is no minimum fund required to show under CEC.

Even if you apply under FSW, you need to have atleast 1 year of fulltime work experience or else you are not eligible to apply under FSW.

I think thats not BOWP, it is OCWP (Off Campus work permit) that you can apply for while studying.

According to OP25a, CIC will consider 2 week of vacation under 12 months of employment period. So I would suggest you to work for 1 month more to avoid any miscalculations. Best wishes. :)

Thank you Goku,

Just confirming again that even I don't count work experience for time between school finished & getting Open Work permit , still I have finished 13 months with other job (If I apply in next month) . Should I still wait for one more month ? When I apply, should I explain all dates and my experience same as before ?? (Saying I worked for time between school finish & getting work permit )

I have my transcript saying that I have finished my school in May and graduated.

Hi Goku / Scally,

Is there any other way I can apply for PR.

Only other option is to look at the provincial nominee program in your province and see if you are eligible.

You'll have to research your options here:
